MUYIWA ADEKOJEDE
I started out as a writer and eventually grew into a campus journalist. I later featured as an SEO writer for a company in India, and from there I went on to fall in love in online marketing more than I can describe now. My focus are primarily Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Search Engine Marketing (SEM) or Online Ads in Search results, and Social Media.
Personal life
I love to play games (and write about them too), but you know, these days, my love for online marketing often times overrides that as I find it tirelessly enjoyable. And apart from that, just keeping up with marketing trends, AI most especially. Because I believe that’s the name of the game in today’s world, in whichever field you find yourself in. I also do writing. Yeah, that’s just it.
Education
I schooled at the prestigious University of Lagos in Nigeria where I graduated with a bachelor’s of science in social work. And aside that, on writing, i have taken and passed the course on; High-Impact Business Writing, News | Journalism, and Effective Communication: Business Writing. Additionally, I have taken the Complete SEO Course: From Beginner to Professional, taught by Mark Williams-Cook, founder of Candour Agency and AlsoAsked. Other certifications I have earned include Technical SEO Certification from Blue Array, Google Digital Skills Certification from Google, and Content Marketing and Inbound Marketing from HubSpot Academy.
Brief work history
In my role as an SEO Writer, I went on special SEO training for the former with The Freelance Coalition For Developing Countries. During mid-COVID-19, 2019-2020, he grew a website from 0 to 700,000+ organic visits with over 20 million impressions. Later, as a SEO executive, and then promoted to be head of link building at Pearl Lemon, UK, I practised and led a team on primary off-page SEO. Later, I worked as a SEM, SEO, and Social Media expert at a software development company with a brand presence in the United States of America and Nigeria. Then I served as a search ads and SEO consultant for a brand in Asia. Additionally, I work as an AI-focused Digital Marketing specialist for brands in Asia and beyond.
Publications
I don’t currently have a publication in SEO, though I have in news and journalism. You know, as I said earlier, I was a campus journalist. Well, as soon as possible, I will write good case studies written on SEO and I will share them here. Successful Campaigns, and Collaborations
While working as the Head of Link Building, I helped build the link network of more than 20 businesses that just started, and we were able to start receiving leads. It took us about six months though. Apart from that, one of my successes was the fact that I built a side project which in under nine months was able to outrank Wikipedia, and stood number one in the search results page. But then I lost it (to hackers). Apart from that, another success story is the fact that while I was writing as an SEO writer, I was able to help the company increase their traffic to over more than 150,000 organic traffic.
Some of the clients I’ve worked for come from — but not limited to — different fields such as health, cosmetics, cars, gaming, news, diamonds, and watches (oh, that’s still under jewelry, I guess).
